William Jeanes Memorial Library

Lafayette Hill, PA

During September and October of 2018, the Whitemarsh Township Public Works staff removed several dead trees and cleared weeds and vines from three sides of the library property. They then added grass seed to enhance these areas and make them easier to maintain.

To further enhance the rock circle area on the east side of the property, we reestablished the path into the area and created a new entrance from the parking lot closer to the side entrance.

On Saturday, October 13, 2018, the library hosted a volunteer day to spread woodchips on the trail in the rock circle area. Deborah Moore with Tam Paulits and the volunteers from the Whitemarsh Greenhouse Program, along with Sally and Chris Lane, with granddaughter, and others did wonderful work.

Shrubs and grasses, along with perennial plants, were added in the fall, and additional winter pruning was done in the Juniper bed area.

Our thanks to John Close and the Whitemarsh Township Public Works staff, who have done wonderful work clearing the perimeter of the property and planting grass, Much appreciated.
